Rocky mountain range in buffer zone is considered as “Ha Long on land”, in which lime mountains create particularly interesting natural caves, caverns and with time these caves, caverns become original scenic spots related to history of Ho Dynasty.
- Ho Cong Cave is located on Xuan Dai Mountain, Vinh Ninh Commune, about 4.5 km from Citadel of the Ho Dynasty in Southwest. The legend has it that Ho Cong Cavern was a place of refining fairy medicine made by teacher Ho Cong and learner Dong Tu. Natural scenery of mountain, river mixed each with other, cavern, cave are miraculous, so in the old days the cavern was named as “Thirty six caverns of Nam country, Ho Cong is the first”. The cavern is located on the height of about 50-60m in comparison with plain. In history many poets, writers visited and praised beautiful scenery in here, typically such King Le Thanh Tong, Le Hien Tong and Lord Trinh Sam… currently there are twenty Han Chinese literature relics are carved on the wall of cavern. This is a very precious literature heritage contributing to creation of a “First Ho Cong”.
- Nang Cave is located on An Ton Mountain belonging to Yen Ton Thuong Village, Vinh Yen Commune, about 2.5 km from Citadel of the Ho Dynasty in Northwest. The cave is also named as Ngoc Thanh cavern, located on the height of about 20m in comparison with plain. According to legend, Nang Cave was a place where Ho Quy Ly detained King Tran Thieu De and two his concubines.
- Eo Le Cavern is located on Eo Le Mountain belonging Vinh Quang Commune, about 3.5 km from Citadel of the Ho Dynasty in Northwest. The cavern also has other name as Le Son Dong, on the height of about 50m in comparison with plain. Below it is Ma River bending. Apart from beautiful scenery of caves, caverns, this place also kept legend about Lam Son righteous volunteers struggled with Minh invaders (Chinese) at beginning of 15th centery.
